This report presents the findings of a 2008 review of the global whale and dolphin watching industry.
The research showed that in 2008, 13 million people participated in whale and dolphin watching in 119 countries and territories, generating total expenditure of $2.1 billion. An estimated 3,300 operators offer whale watching trips around the world and employ an estimated 13,200 people.
